About Us Established 28 years ago by proprietor David Gardner, The Antique Map Shop Ltd. located in the centre of the historic City of Bath, specialises in genuine original antique maps from the early 16th to the late 19th Century. The shop stocks in the region of 700 - 1000 items at any one time, and prices start from £28.00. These genuine antique maps cover English, Scottish and Welsh counties, road maps and town plans, through to World Maps and all parts of the Globe. The stock includes original engravings from renowned cartographers such as Abraham Ortelius (1527 – 1598), Sebastian Munster (1489-1552), Willem Blaeu (1571-c.1646) and Jan Jansson (1596 - 1664). Later examples include maps from Thomas Moule (fl.1822 - 1842), George Washington Bacon (1830 - 1922) and John Cary (fl. 1783 - 1835). Though not shown in the web catalogue, we also stock a number of pictorial engravings and other map ephemera. The Antique Map Shop guarantees that all items are at least 100 years old and all maps are supplied with a certificate of authenticity which guarantees that they are genuine and as dated.
